We all know that groups are powerful tools to use on Facebook. They provide us with an opportunity to get to know people on a whole different level. Facebook’s Recent Changes Are A Good Thing For Business

Recently Facebook made another change to the way our Facebook page posts are viewed, or not in some people’s minds. It seems that Facebook will be giving greater reach to posts that come from your friends than from businesses – organically. Now since Facebook was set up as a social network for people to connect with people this isn’t a bad move right? Since people complain about too many people doing business on Facebook it isn’t bad, right? Here’s the thing… my friends and family’s posts should come first; I agree with that. Then relevant business posts should come next for me. And how does Facebook know what’s relevant to me? Based on my previous engagement is one of the keys, so if I haven’t engaged with any of your posts for awhile, then I likely won’t keep seeing your posts, sounds good to me, too! After all, why would I want my newsfeed cluttered up with posts from people and businesses I haven’t engaged with for awhile, right? Now some are saying your organic reach will go as long as 1%… that’s ok too and here’s why. ... → Read more

How to FB page

There are lots of articles, reports and info-graphics out there telling us when the best time to post on the various social media channels is… and while some of that info might be helpful when you are starting out, it’s far to generic to really benefit you on your Facebook page. #MotivationMonday March 14, 2016

motivation wordle

It’s been a tough few weeks for me, lots going on personally that have taken my attention and making me ask some hard questions about how I want to spend the rest of my life, what do I want to do and what do I get the most joy out of.

Really the questioning started in January, when getting back to work after my first real Christmas break was HARD! And it made me think… how do I want to spend my time. I started saying “if I’m not having fun, I’m not doing it” because I recognized that having fun had been in short supply for too long and I wanted more of it, but as I asked that question more and more, I realized there were too many times I could say “nope, I’m not having fun”. ... → Read more

Today is family day here in BC and while I’m taking most of the day off, I’m getting some work done while the kids sleep in.

And while I love my family, I’ve realized over the last few years, family isn’t defined by blood or marriage, it’s defined by the people who stick with you and support you through thick or thin and always have your back. I’ve got some great support in my journey of recovery from my marriage, raising my kids myself, building and growing a business and rediscovering my dreams after years of shoving them down. ... → Read more

They must understand the concept of “going out on faith” when it comes to starting a business.  Also, they must “go out on faith” when making major decisions for the growth and prosperity of the business.  To all women out there who have this deep desire to start their own business, go for it and stop making excuses. ... → Read more

What’s Your Business IQ?

When I became an entrepreneur I didn’t think about running a business. I simply did everything I could to find business. I was tenacious because failure was NOT an option. Creating Personal Balance and Work-Life Integration

There are several reasons why mastering work-life integration is so essential right now, as well as maintaining personal balance, the kind where you can stand on one foot and not fall down!  The balance need not be equal pieces of “the wheel of life” and compromises can be made without sabotaging wellbeing, happy family life and relationships. ... → Read more
