The Business of Hormones
In our bodies there are always thousands of chemical processes happening that shape the way we live our lives. A lot of these mechanisms are run by our hormones. Hormones for reproduction, sleep, digestion and so much more mold us into individuals with powerful thoughts and feelings. But as women, we are often made to believe that our hormones are something to be ashamed of, or that weaken us. Well, I’m here to tell you that’s not true! We can control our hormones to a certain extent so that our lives are filled with balance and joy.
So how does this affect women in business? Well, as a woman and a business owner, I can tell you that having an unbalanced body isn’t good for business. Maybe you’re feeling too tired and sluggish to get the work done. Or perhaps you’re moody and irritable with support staff, family or even clients! This brings you and your business down. Not accomplishing what you set out to do can hurt your motivation, self-esteem and profits.
So how do you know if you need to overall your hormones for your own sanity and the sake of your business? If you experience any of the following, you can bet that its time to pay attention to what your body is telling you and make a change:
